Prepare to Learn from the Best in Beauty

Set to take place January 31 to February 2, 2009 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California, the West Coast’s largest beauty event, the International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE), brings together the highest quality manufacturers, valuable educational opportunities and a professional atmosphere—all under one roof.

There is no better way to invest in one’s career than by staying current on the latest tools, techniques and practices that are shaping the professional beauty industry. The expo will offer beauty professionals the opportunity to learn everything from styling techniques to how to run a profitable salon.

With over 400 top quality exhibitors and a sold-out show floor, the expo guarantees another action packed event with industry leaders such as Martin Parsons, Kim Vo, Orlando Pita and T3 Micro, Karg and Blackwell, Charlie Price, Bennie Pollard, Sassoon Academy and the first ever Hiroshi and Mogi combined class to name a few. Complimentary education classes will cover everything from hair, nails, skin and business practices.

The International Fashion Theater will have inspiring performances by some of the industry’s most talented platform and in-house creative stylists from the U.S. and abroad.

The Latino Fashion Group will present the Latino Fashion Theater, which will now be on the arena show floor. Additionally, the Professional Beauty Association has partnered with the National Latino Cosmetology Association to give a voice and platform to the Hispanic community, which continues to grow within the beauty industry.

At the Technical Theater (some sessions require additional investment and there is limited seating), you will be able to watch the pros in action and learn new cutting and styling techniques. These classes feature the hottest names in hair design showcasing their latest methods.

New for 2009, Massage Wellness and Education will offer continuing education credits for licensed massage therapists.
